(Varus Culture Pt. 2) This One Time I Made Music

A.I. Can't make Garage band Quality Music

The other day I was thinking about when I fell on some of the harder times of my life and what I did to work through those times. For me, although I’d normally Journal, coming up with new music is what really allowed me to work through the trauma of my hard times. I at one point was sitting down during an apple teaching session playing around with garage band and ended up making my first ever song.

This song at 18 minutes long is not the brainchild of a lyrical genius but the sound of racing thoughts and panic. It carries much more of an EDM tone and really brings you to a place where life is a party and you’re just working the room. I have to say it is really impressive and I couldn’t recreate it if I wanted to but I still have the music files. In fact, that song inspired me to make other tracks and really, I ended up putting together an entire little EP all for sake of having a good time during a bad time.

Hmm, maybe I should’ve named the album “having a good time during a bad time”. I might have to take my own advice on the title. I’m super nervous about releasing the music because I don’t know how it’ll be received and I want badly for people to enjoy it as much as I do. I believe the music really speaks to my frustrations with life in its bleaker moments but it sounds like a party in someone’s basement. Maybe that’s what we all need sometimes... a party in someone’s basement.

Until next time!

Cheers
